Where Neuropsychology meets the Law

Neuropsychology focuses on the relationship between the brain and behaviour. We evaluate and measure cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning to determine the nature and extent of cognitive abilities. This may include assessment of decision-making capacity for a range of issues and determining the type and level of any support that may be required.

How we help

"Understanding the brain is not just about unravelling its mysteries; it is about unlocking the potential for healing, growth, and transformation in each individual."

OLIVER SACKS

Why the Dragonfly?

The dragonfly is a powerful symbol for Neuropsychology, representing the interconnectedness of different brain functions and their impact on behavior. The dragonfly's ability reminds us of the complexity of the human brain in changing and adapting over the life cycle:

  • They have large compound eyes, which allow them to perceive their environment in a complex and integrated way, much like the human brain processes information;

  • They are known for their adaptability, being able to fly in multiple directions with incredible speed and precision, reminding us of an agile and responsive human brain performing various cognitive and motor tasks simultaneously; and

  • They undergo amazing life cycle metamorphosis, representing change and transformation, which reminds us of the ability of the brain to adapt and change over time through processes such as neuroplasticity and neurogenesis.

The beautiful, soaring dragonfly symbolises our potential for transformative cognitive growth.
